Private Care Services

Travel Nursing

Whether you are planning a vacation, taking a business trip, returning home after hospitalization, or relocating a loved one, SHICS can provide professional travel assistance for domestic and international destinations.

A medical condition, mobility limitation, or cognitive impairment does not always have to prevent someone from traveling. With thoughtful preparation and the appropriate level of support, a qualified nurse or caregiver can help make the journey safer, calmer, and more comfortable.

Before departure, SHICS works with the client, family, and healthcare providers to understand the traveler's health needs, prescribed care, mobility requirements, destination, and itinerary. Support is then personalized for the individual and the purpose of the trip.

When Travel Assistance May Help

Returning Home After an Injury or Hospital Stay

A nurse or caregiver can accompany someone traveling from a hospital, rehabilitation center, or temporary residence to their home or next care setting.

Business and Personal Travel

Clients managing chronic conditions, medication schedules, visual impairment, or mobility limitations can receive discreet assistance throughout a business trip or vacation.

Relocation Support

Older adults and individuals with complex health needs may benefit from professional support when moving to a family member's home, assisted living community, or another care setting.

Traveling With Cognitive Impairment

Changes in environment and routine can be difficult for someone living with dementia. An experienced caregiver can offer structure, reassurance, redirection, and familiar routines throughout the journey.

Vacations and Family Occasions

Travel support can help clients continue enjoying vacations, reunions, weddings, graduations, and other meaningful experiences while receiving assistance with daily care needs.

At SHICS, we believe that age, disability, or a health condition should not automatically end a person's ability to travel, work, celebrate, or remain connected to the people and places they value. Whether the journey is joyful, necessary, or part of a major life transition, our goal is to help each client reach the destination safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Domestic and international services are subject to clinical assessment, staff availability, travel requirements, airline policies, destination regulations, professional licensing rules, and medical clearance when applicable.
